TWO teenagers have been arrested in connection with an assault of a delivery driver in St Helens town centre.
Officers were called to a report of a group fighting with a man at around 2.10pm on Sunday, March 6.
Police said that on arrival, it became apparent that a delivery driver had been assaulted on Church Street.
It was reported a group of teenage boys assaulted the man and made what police described as racist comments towards him, before making off on foot in the direction of Church Square Shopping centre.
The victim did not seek any medical treatment after the incident, police say.
A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident.
They have been conditionally bailed while inquiries into the incident continue.
