THE St Helens 10K run takes place on Sunday and more than 1800 people are signed up to take part.
The event often throws up some inspiring reasons or causes why people are running. If you want to share your story please do so.
Also, if you just want to share a pic of yourself (or a team) out on the course or at the finish please do so.
Good luck to everyone taking part.
Council leader's message
St Helens Borough Council Leader David Baines has passed on a good luck message to participants.
Councillor Baines said: “The St Helens 10k is arguably one of the most challenging courses in the country, with runners from all over coming here to take on the dreaded North Road hill, which is testament and a lasting legacy of the late, great Steve Prescott MBE.
“Given that the event wasn’t able to go ahead in its normal capacity last year, it will be great to see so many people turning out again – whether it’s to take part or show their support – bringing a feel-good atmosphere to town, no matter the weather.
“On behalf of St Helens Borough Council, I’d like to wish participants - many of whom will be fundraising for charities close to their heart – the very best of luck and I hope they enjoy the occasion.”
