However, after serving a regular clientele of park runners, long-distance enthusiasts, ans well as an influx of new runners since lockdown, the business is now hoping to move to Bridge Street to expand their project.

A verbal agreement has been made but the business are waiting for formal confirmation from the council to change the use of the premises from a beauty salon to retail.

With plans to offer a wider selection of running gear and serve as a more convenient place to attract more customers, Matt and Susan are also planning to have a coffee bar so that the shop can act as a community hub and a relaxing place to meet for runners.

"We've built a good base of customers and have even had people from all the country drop in because they've heard about us online.

"Business has been up and down with the pandemic, but it was absolutely wonderful to see so many new runners coming to us after lockdown."
