PREMIER League newcomers Newton le Willows face a trip to fellow promoted side Birkenhead Park on the opening day of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition.
With the fixtures released this week, clubs across the Competition's three divisions can begin to dream of sunnier days ahead when the action begins on Saturday, April 23.
Last season's Division One champions will be confident of getting their season off to a decent start at the side who finished in second place, especially after announcing the arrival at Crow Lane of Lancashire Academy batter Subhaan Mahmood.
Elsewhere in the top tier, Rainhill begin their season with a home game against Southport and Birkdale.
In Division One, Rainford, who have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Liam Gaskell from St Helens Town, host Ainsdale.
St Helens Town will be hoping to bounce back after an awful season saw them winning just two games on their way to relegation from Division One.
The Ruskin Drive outfit have welcomed back bowler Craig Black following a successful season with Southport Trinity in which he took 44 wickets and the opening day sees them host Wavertree.
Sutton also have a home game to begin proceedings when they welcome Norley Hall to New Street.
