IS sweet Shiann the four-legged friend for you?

The eight-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier is described as a very sweet, easy-going girl who is enjoying her time in a foster home but has her paws crossed for a forever home soon.

The team at Dogs Trust Merseyside say she has proven herself to be the perfect houseguest, enjoying heading out on short walks and then settling down for an afternoon snooze on the sofa.

She loves being with people and would fit well into a family with children of secondary school age.

Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, says: "Shiann is a lovely, affectionate girl. She is happy to walk alongside other quiet dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can enjoy being at the heart of her new family.

"She has found herself with us through no fault of her own and we really hope she finds the new home she deserves very soon."
