A THIEF who breached a criminal behaviour order by stealing from a car and attempting to break into another vehicle has been jailed for more than two years.
John Corrigan, 22 from the Parr area of St Helens, was originally issued with a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
Community police officers in St Helens submitted the CBO application after Corrigan was convicted of several theft from motor vehicles over a 12-month period.
The order prevented Corrigan from entering specific areas of St Helens.
However, in a statement police said that on Sunday, December 12 2021 Corrigan broke into a vehicle on Wilbur Street, Sutton and stole a number of tools.
Police added that he has now been jailed for 25 months.
