A VAN was stopped by police in St Helens for an expired MOT.
The vehicle was stopped by traffic officers.
Police say inquiries revealed that the van was tested yesterday and had "failed for 14 major defects".

Officers say that the driver "thought he'd risk it" and drove the van anyway.
Merseyside Roads Policing Unit said: "We prohibited and recovered the vehicle and the driver was reported for all offences."
