POLICE say they saw two cars racing down the M58 at speeds of allegedly 126mph.
Traffic officers reported seeing a Golf GTI and an Audi S1 travelling at high speeds, using the motorway as a "racetrack".
Both drivers have been summonsed to appear in court in connection with the alleged speeding.

In a post on social media, North West Motorway Police wrote: "Following reports of vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner [...] our motorway patrols covered the M58 and sighted this Golf GTI and an Audi S1 racing.
"With the police vehicle behind them both of them were paced at an average of 126mph.
"The Golf GTI already had a Section 59 warning and was recovered. The driver of the AUDI S1 received a warning for his behaviour and both were reported for summons for excess speed.
"We will not tolerate our roads being used as racetracks."
