ORMSKIRK Street United Reformed Church in St Helens is hosting an evening of festive brass music on Sunday, December 5.

The event will feature a performance from Cobalt Brass who will be playing a selection of musical delights, including works by Gustav Holst, John Rutter, and Sir Malcolm Arnold.

Formed in 2015, Cobalt Brass is made up of a group of friends that met whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Joseph Martin (trumpet), Adam Bidgood (trumpet), Kieran Lyster (French horn), Jack Rowlands (trombone) and Conall Gormlry (trombone) describe themselves as having a “genre bending approach to the brass quintet medium that offers a unique opportunity to explore sound-worlds beyond the realms of ‘traditional’ chamber music.”

An Evening with Cobalt Brass starts from 6pm with tickets available from ticketsource.co.uk
