TRAIN services have been disrupted this morning, Friday, due to a signalling system fault.
Northern says services have been delayed or revised due to the fault between Earlestown and Liverpool Lime Street.
Northern tweeted at 7.59am: "Due to a fault with the signalling system between Liverpool Lime Street and Earlestown the line is blocked towards Manchester.
"Services running to and from these stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised."
