ONE motorist was treated for injuries after emergency services were called after a crash in Rainford.

The collision happened on the Rainford bypass A570, at the roundabout close to Holdi Indian restaurant on Saturday afternoon, November 20.

Residents reported seeing a vehicle end up on top of the roundabout.

It is understood one person suffered injuries in the incident and was treated by paramedics.

A North West Ambulance spokesman said: "One person was treated at the scene, with an ambulance, response vehicle and advanced paramedic all in attendance.

"We were called to scene by a 999 call at 12.40pm."

The spokesman was unable to confirm whether the patient was taken to hospital.
