Major crash closes lanes near Tarbock Island junction of M62 (Image: Martini)
REPORTS are coming in this morning of a major incident on the M62 this morning.
North West Motorway Police have tweeted: "Police are on scene at a road traffic collision on the M62 between J5 to J6 Eastbound.
"This is a damage only five vehicle RTC. Lane two and three are closed whilst we continue to deal with the RTC. Lane one is open. If you are about to set off please allow a little extra time if this is your route."
Junction 6 (Tarbock Island) and Junction 5 A5080 Roby Road (Huyton) are reported to be currently blocked and police are at the scene.
It is not known if there are injuries as yet.
