THROUGHOUT November we will be taking a daily dip into the Saints archives to stir a few memories from the past.
Yesterday we showed Kel Coslett surrounded by a very well dressed gathering in the 60s - but on Day 4 we fast forward to 1995.
The image captures the victorious Saints team with the cup after winning the 1995 Wigan Sevens at Central Park.
This tournament, prior to Super League, was the traditional prelude to the rugby league season.
This form of rugby, now sadly largely left to the other code, made for an interesting afternoon of running rugby with the quick men and mobile forwards being the order of the day.
Eric Hughes' young Saints septet emerged victorious on that sunny August day at Wigan.
