ST HELENS' young acting star Jude Riordan left viewers with tears in their eyes with his powerful performance in Coronation Street screened last night.

Wednesday's double header saw Jude's character Sam Blakeman deal with the heartbreak of his mum's death.

The storyline saw Harvey (Will Mellor) escape from prison last week and hunt down Leanne Battersby on a revenge mission.

However, he accidentally shot Natasha Blakeman as she was in the same costume as Leanne during the Halloween-themed episodes.
