HERE are two road closures which will be in place in St Helens during this week due to works being carried out:
Cross Lane, Newton-le-Willows
St Helens Borough Council will carry out highway maintenance works from Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday 28 on Cross Lane.
This is for carriageway resurfacing from Crow Lane West to Chapel Street.
There will be a closure in force for the duration of the works.

Spindle Hillock, Garswood
Traffic delays are likely due to a railway bridge inspection by Network Rail at Spindle Hillock.
This will take place between Monday, October 25 and Friday 29.
Delays are likely, with a traffic diversion in place.
