A TWENTY-FOUR-YEAR-OLD man has been fined more than £1,000 for being in a gathering of more than two people in an outdoor place during England's third Covid lockdown.
Kailan Wilson, of Sutton Heath Road, pleaded guilty at Wirral Magistrates' Court to the offence in contravention of the coronavirus regulations.
Wilson participated in a gathering of more than two people in a public outdoor place in a Tier Four area, in Ashurst Drive, Blackbrook on January 11 this year.
The 24-year-old was fined £1,173, made to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £117 and costs of £100, making a total of 1,390.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account as the sentence was imposed.
