WINSFORD United's long wait for a victory is at an end.
Lee Duckworth's side were 3-1 victors at neighbours Witton Albion yesterday evening as they made progress in the Cheshire Senior Cup.
Victory over their higher-ranked hosts brought an end to a barren run which has seen Blues lose their last seven games in all competitions.
Ryan Jackson put them ahead after just five minutes and while Rob Hopley equalised for the hosts, Dave Short restored Winsford's lead just after the half-hour mark.
Dylan Chalice then sealed Blues' win in the closing stages.
