FORMER Garswood schoolgirl and Coronation Street star Kym Marsh got married on the weekend.
Kym, 45, tied the knot with her boyfriend and army major Scott Ratcliff, 33 at Sandhurst military academy with friends and family on Saturday.
Kym is a former Garswood Primary School pupil and shot to fame with pop group Hear'Say formed through ITV show Popstars in 2001.
The newly-weds had a few famous faces in attendance.
Carol Vorderman was there and took to social media to share her thoughts on Kym and Scott’s special day.
She tweeted: “Soooo my big bud Clare Alexina Holt and I went to our Kym's wedding yesterday at Sandhurst. It was BEAUTIFUL. Major Scott and the new Mrs Ratcliff were entrancing and so in love. A properly gorgeous life-enhancing day.”
And so was fellow Corrie star Anthony Cotton who was the Master of Ceremonies. He tweeted the former Countdown queen to say that she looked gorgeous, to which Carol replied: “And so did you gorgeous Antony Cotton...what a totally stunning day still smiling xx”
The couple got engaged in June.
OK! reported that she was married in a romantic ceremony and Kym’s father David was in attendance, who has been diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer.
The actress previously told OK! that her dad David was determined to walk her down the aisle – and the wedding had given him something positive to focus on.
