FIREFIGHTERS attended a flat during the night after a blaze broke out in the kitchen.
The fire started in a ground floor flat on Pollitt Crescent, Clock Face.
Crews attended and spent more than an hour at the property.
One person was assessed by firefighters but did not require hospital treatment, a spokeswoman said.

The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "Firefighters were called to Pollitt Crescent, St Helens, in the early hours of Thursday, October 14.
"Crews were alerted at 03.03am and on scene at 03.11am. Three fire engines attended.
"On arrival crews found a fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
"One person was assessed at the scene by firefighters but did not require hospital treatment.
"Firefighters left the scene at 04.21am."
