A CAR fled from police near to a primary school during a weekday afternoon.
Officers say a Vauxhall Insignia made off from them on Forest Road, Sutton Manor on Monday last week, October 4.
Witnesses picking children up at the nearby Sutton Manor Primary School said they saw a car race past at high speed.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said a vehicle had fled from officers in the area.
An investigation into the matter remains ongoing.

He said: "We can confirm that a car made off from police in St Helens last Monday, October 4.
"At around 3.20pm, a Vauxhall Insignia reportedly failed to stop for officers on Forest Road.
"No pursuit was authorised and an area search was carried out.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact us via @MerPolCC with reference 21000693141."
