FORMER Saints and Wales prop Roger Owen, who sadly passed away in the summer at the age of 67, is well remembered by past players and supporters.
His aggressive tackling, strong scrummaging and barn-storming running made him a huge favourite on the Knowsley Road terraces in the early 80s after joining from the New Dock Stars.
However, what is maybe less well known is that the barrel-chested prop eventually returned to play rugby union at some point after finishing at Saints in 1982.
Owen played for Saints 45 times and won two Wales caps, but after his career in the 13-man was over he returned to rugby union as the pictures of the Burtonwood club show.
Can you spot anyone else you know on there?
