DISABLED pensioners have been left "devastated" after their car was targeted by vandals for the second time.

A silver BMW car was smashed by two yobs in the early hours of Saturday, while it was parked outside their home on Norfolk Road, Grange Park.

It is believed one of the vandals, who were masked, was wearing a hi-vis jacket while they caused damage to the vehicle.

All of the windows were smashed by the offenders using pickaxes, it is understood.

In June last year the couple had their two cars set on fire in an arson.

"This is the second time we have been targeted," said the 75-year-old owner of the BMW, who asked to remain anonymous.

"We were on June 9 last year and again on Saturday at 1.23am.

"They came directly for my car and they put every window through.

"It took them 11 seconds exactly to smash all the windows. The youngest leapt on the bonnet like a gazelle.

"We are both devastated, my wife is absolutely distraught. We are both 75 and disabled and I have had a major operation.

"When is it going to end?

"We would like to offer a £2,000 reward for anyone with any information who comes forward which leads to a conviction."
