A MUM-OF-THREE was attacked in an unprovoked assault at the Reminisce music festival.

The 44-year-old woman had been looking forward to the Sherdley Park event for a long time and attended with friends.

She was looking for her friend after getting separated when she was assaulted out of the blue with no warning.

The victim, a care home worker, says she had no interaction with her attacker who hit her in the face after she had dropped her drink.

"I had lost my friend and I was looking around the tent to find them," she said.

"I had no signal because it had gone off and I couldn't find them.

"I went into the outskirts of one of a white tent and I dropped my bottle on the floor.

"Then I was hit from the side, it was a young lad, he was about 20, with slim build and dark hair, that's all I know.

"They took me to the paramedic tent and they let me go and I just walked home to Thatto Heath.

"The assault happened at about 7.30pm."

The woman was left with a severe black eye and bruises to an eyebrow and on the right side of her face as well as whiplash.

She attended the walk-in centre and has since been unable to go into the care home where she works due to her injuries.

"There was no confrontation, nothing. I didn't even look at him, I was just looking for my friend.

"The security did nothing and let him go. I have been to the police but it's like a needle in a haystack without a name or witnesses."

The mum-of-three was wearing a pastel dye top and has long blonde hair.

"I have waited for years to go to this and then that happened."
