A STYLISH champagne lounge is being launched in the underused space above Riddling Rack in Newton-le-Willows.

Taking place on Thursday, August 19, an invite-only event is celebrating the re-launch of the space above the trendy cafe bar on High Street.

Since opening in 2018, Alex Myhill, co-owner of Riddling Rack, said the upstairs room has been "underused and became to feel a little like a function room”.

After adapting to the changing circumstances throughout the pandemic, Alex said that the team decided to “utilise the space, re-decorate, and put some booths in".

She added: “We’re now able to spread people out and it has created a really nice, cosy vibe upstairs.”

With their revamped lounge, the space will be used to host private events as well as Riddling Rack’s popular wine tasting nights and themed quizzes – two lockdown trends that haven’t stopped for the venue.

The added space will also enable the team to attract more customers, expand their food menu with a new kitchen and continue their community-orientated business model – which saw the small team send out hundreds of afternoon tea deliveries throughout the pandemic.

Alex perceives the lounge can be yet another vibrant place for the people of Newton-le-Willows to unwind and socialise after the difficulties of the previous 18 months.

Riddling Rack’s launch event will consist of a mix of regular customers and local businesses who all want to see the venue thrive with their new venture.
