Roads Policing Inspector Stuart McIver said: “The arrests show that where we receive reports of anti-social behaviour in our communities, we will not hesitate to take action and bring those responsible to justice.
“All of our communities are safer when one of these bikes is seized, and we will continue to take proactive measures against those who cause fear and distress on our streets.
“Operation Brookdale is our ongoing Merseyside Police commitment to eradicating the harm that the illegal and anti-social use of off-road bikes cause to the communities in Merseyside, and we will not stop until the problem is completely removed. We work closely with our partners in the local authority, housing authorities and local schools and colleges to educate young people about the risks.
“We have seen the devastation that off-road bikes and other dangerous driving can cause across Merseyside so if you witnessed this incident, captured any footage or images or hold other information, please come forward.”
