THREE men who admitted to stealing fuel have each been given an electronic tag.
Bernard Ward, 31, Charlie Ward, 30, and Christopher Ward, 22, each indicated guilty pleas to stealing fuel on May 17 this year.
The trio stole fuel belonging to Simply Trans Ltd on the East Lancashire Road at Haydock.
The three defendants also indicated guilty pleas to going equipped for theft by having fuel containers for use in the course of theft.
Bernard Ward, of Withington Lane, Aspull, Wigan was given a community order and must be under curfew for 10 weeks and do up to days of rehabilitation activity.
He must also pay £50 in compensation, a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs, making £230 in total.
Meanwhile, Charlie Ward, of Vine Street, Wigan and Christopher Ward, of Dorothy Street, Thatto Heath were also given the same sentence.
