BIRCHWOOD Rangers scored the opening goal in the under 10s Europa Cup Final but Bleak Hill Rovers fought back and the contest went to a penalty shootout.

A great finish from just inside the box and a terrific free kick, both from James McDonaugh-Smith saw Rovers take a 2-1 lead but two minutes from time Rangers levelled matters.

Ciaran Gittens saved two penalties to seal matters for St Helens side Bleak Hill after a fantastic game from both teams.

Golborne Sports v Cromwell Athletic, under 14s cup final

AFTER a great contest, Golborne Sports overcame Cromwell Athletic 5-4 on penalties in an under 14s cup final.

Golborne came from a goal behind to force the shootout and a achieve a second successive win against higher-division opposition in what was a very competitive final played in great spirit.

Whittle Hall JFC v Heath Rangers Dragons JFC, under 15s Reg Peers Cup Final

HEATH Rangers ended the season unbeaten, going on to lift the under 15s Reg Peers Cup after knocking out last year's winners in the semi-finals.

A volley by Joe Sacharewicz midway through the first half and a towering header from Archie Nolan after the break put Heath in front.

Whittle Hall's goalkeeper saved a penalty to keep his side in the hunt but the outcome was settled 3-0 with a Ray Ruddock volley for the Runcorn side in the last 10 minutes.

Newton-le-Willows v Senley and Garswood, under 18s cup final

AIDON Hewitt netted twice while Cory Sherlock and Ben Molyneux also hit the mark as Newton won the under 18s cup final 4-0.
