A MAN has been charged with firearms offences after a motorcyclist was pursued by police along the M62.
Officers from Merseyside Police stopped a motorbike travelling eastbound between junctions 10 (Croft Interchange) and 11 (Birchwood) on Saturday night, at around 9pm.
Following a search of the rider, a firearm was recovered and the rider was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.

Ashley Duggan, of Stanton Avenue, Salford has now been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life; possession of a firearm without a certificate; possession of ammunition; receiving stolen goods; driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
Duggan, 32, has been remanded in custody and will appear in court today, Wednesday, June 23.
