A cordon was in place after the crash
A MAN and woman have been arrested after a car crashed with a police vehicle and a lamppost.
The vehicle collided with a police car during a pursuit on Juddfield Street, Haydock shortly before 10am today, Tuesday, June 22.
The driver, a 40-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Meanwhile, a 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
Both suspects were taken to hospital as a precaution.
No police officers were injured during the incident.
Both vehicles involved sustained damage and were recovered from the scene.
