A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD girl was among three people taken to hospital after a car crashed with three parked vehicles.

Emergency services were called to Robins Lane, Sutton at around 7.30pm on Thursday evening, June 17 after a silver Renault Clio collided with three other cars, a Suzuki Swift; a black Mercedes A200 and a Hyundai Ioniq.

The driver of the Renault Clio, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Two other passengers - a woman in her 50s and a child aged 12 - were also treated in hospital for "minor injuries".

Two other children were also passengers in the Clio, but were uninjured.

There were no passengers inside the parked cars at the time of the incident.

The road was reopened shortly after 10pm.

A North West Ambulance spokesman confirmed three casualties were taken to hospital, including a 12-year-old girl who suffered a head injury.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene and removed the roof of the car with hydraulic cutting equipment to remove one of the casualties from the vehicle.

Roads Policing Inspector Carl McNulty said: "Thankfully no-one was seriously injured in this accident, which caused a domino effect of cars crashing into each other.

"We're keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision, and would urge anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from Robins Lane or the surrounding area to get in touch as soon as possible.

"It might be that you have captured what happened just before or during the incident, and this information would be vital to our investigation."
