A MAN charged in connection with a robbery a travel agents in St Helens town centre will appear at Liverpool Crown Court next month.
The robbery reportedly took place at Hays Travel on Church Street, St Helens at about 3.15pm last Friday, June 11.
Police were called to Church Street on Friday afternoon and – assisted by three members of the public – located and arrested a suspect.
Gary Gilboy, of Salisbury Avenue, Netherton, was charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident.

Gilboy, 60, appeared at Wirral Magistrates' Court on Monday this week.
The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court, where Gilboy is scheduled to appear on Monday, July 12.
Gilboy was remanded into custody until then.
