A MAN in his 70s suffered serious injuries during a two-car crash on the Rainford Bypass, police have said.
Patrols were called to bypass near the junction with Mill Lane at about 2pm on Saturday (June 5) following reports of a collision involving a Vauxhall Meriva and a Corsa.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "A man in his 70s sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
"Road closures were put in place."
Fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene.
