A MAN and a woman charged with stealing tobacco products from a Co-operative store have appeared in court.
Gemma Singleton, 34, and Dean Croft, 45, appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court charged with theft by employee.
Croft, of Dunedin Street, Thatto Heath is charged with stealing tobacco products to the value of £12,717.21, belonging to Co-operative stores, on Elton Head Road between April 27 and My 24 last year.
Singleton, also of Dunedin Street, Thatto Heath is charged with stealing tobacco products from the premises on Elton Head Road on April 28 last year.
The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court, where both defendants are next due to appear on June 11.
Singleton and Croft were granted unconditional bail.
