THE JB Parker Cup quarter-final game between FC St Helens and Billinge, played in front of a large crowd at Windleshaw, was settled on penalties.
The game was 0-0 at full-time and after going straight to penalties Billinge won 4-3.
Kieran Halliday in the Billinge goal saved two penalties while FC St Helens keeper Paddy McLoughlin saved Niall Dawson’s effort before Liam Thomas slotted home to take The Storks into the semi-final.
The semi will be played at Barrows Farm this Saturday (29 May) with a 2pm kick-off.
Admission is free and it will be a great advert for the Cheshire League with The Storks taking on an excellent side in Egerton FC.
