POLICE are investigating after a fight broke out in Carlisle city centre.

Officers from Cumbria Police are looking into the incident of “assault and public order” that took place on Saturday, May 15 at around 6.30pm.

A fight is reported to have broken out close to Topshop.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “It is reported there was a fight between a group, in which one a white male with blond hair who was wearing a vest is reported to have had a knife.

“A man in his 20s suffered minor injuries – these were not caused by the knife.

“Police are looking for witnesses to the incident with any information regarding this and requesting assistance in identifying a suspect.
