FACE-TO-FACE meetings are to resume at long last for a friendship society after what has been a very difficult time in isolation for everyone.

St Helens and Warrington Oddfellows Friendly Society are set to resume their in-person social events again.

Although they may be a little different to start with, the first step back to normality starts at 10.30am on Thursday, May 20 at the Hotties Café inside the World of Glass, the group's usual home for their monthly coffee mornings.

With government guidelines adhered to, bookings will be essential for the group as places will be limited.

District social organiser Julie Webster said: “This has been a terrible year for everyone but hopefully we are on the right track now.

"Our members are eager to start meeting up face to face again even though they have all been keeping in touch with each other with phone calls, penfellows and our online zoom events.

"Our free national online events will still carry on for everyone to enjoy, they cover a whole host of topics, including talks, craft sessions, exercise classes along with our weekly Wednesday Coffee mornings at 11am ID 98839207187 and Just for Fun Thursdays held at 2pm ID 98839207187.”
