POLICE have urged drivers to take care on the motorways after there were several crashes on the M62 today (Thursday) in the wet conditions.
These included a crash between junction seven at Rainhill Stoops and Junction eight (Burtonwood) eastbound at around 8am.

The collision involved three vehicles and happened just past the Rainhill junction.
Police were called to the scene.

Earlier on there had been two crashes on the M62 at junction six, both eastbound and westbound.
North West Motorway Police said on Twitter: "Please do take care if your using the Motorway today and drive safely".
