Cyclist taken to hospital after collision near roundabout
A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after being in collision with a car.
Police confirmed the incident happened at about 10.30am on Saturday, May 1 on Knowsley Road, near to the roundabout that leads on to Millfields, Eccleston.
The car involved, a Renault Clio, stopped at the scene. A man was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
In a statement, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman told the Star: "North West Ambulance Service attended and took the cyclist to hospital for his injuries.
"The driver of the Renault Clio stopped at the scene and provided insurance details.
"No roads were closed during the incident."
