A CAR ended up on its roof after a crash on Sunday afternoon (April 25).

Police say no serious injuries were reported after the collision between a Ferrari and a Toyota Yaris at the junction of Lingholme Road and Boundary Road at around 5pm.

The driver of the Toyota, which ended up on its roof, was taken to hospital "as a precaution", police said.

The location has become known as an accident blackspot and has been the scene of numerous crashes.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We were called to junction of Lingholme Road and Boundary Road around 5pm yesterday (Sunday, April 25) to reports of a collision between Ferrari and Toyota Yaris.

"Both cars were recovered and no injuries were reported. The driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital as a precaution."
