POLICE in Cleveland are appealing for information about separate robberies in Middlesbrough and Thornaby.
A man and woman in their 20s were robbed on Outram Street in Middlesbrough at 9.15pm on Thursday April 15.
They were approached by a man who pushed the male victim over and stole his phone.
The suspect is described as being white, wearing a black cap, long-sleeved top and a face mask.
Police are also investigating a robbery on Westbury Street in Thornaby on March 22 at around 11.20pm.
The victim was on Cheltenham Avenue when he was approached by a dark hatchback with two men described by the victim as Kurdish and Eastern European inside.
The men exited the vehicle and chased the victim down Westbury Street where they assaulted him and stole his mobile phone.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
It is believed the suspects made off down Westbury Street towards the Mandale triangle after the robbery.
It is possible that a woman may have witnessed the incident and officers would appeal for this person to come forward as she may be able to assist with enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has private CCTV footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 045048.
