AN Audi car was seized and a number of arrests made after police swooped on a street.
Residents reported a large police presence on Cambridge Road, St Helens on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers say a number of people were spotted hanging around a grey Audi A4, which had its engine running.
Police using powers under the misuse of drugs act searched the occupants, seizing drugs and a blade.
In a statement police said: “Two adult males were found to be in possession of cannabis, the driver of the Audi was arrested (on suspicion of) taking the vehicle without the required consent, no insurance, driving whilst disqualified, possession of a bladed article and drug driving.
“The vehicle was also seized whilst officers make enquiries surrounding it's legitimate ownership.”
