HERE are details of five recent cases heard at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court:

-A MAN who drove without a licence and had cocaine in his possession has been sentenced.

Paul Jones had cocaine on his possession on June 29 last year.

Jones, 33, also drove a Seat Leon on Rainhill Road without a licence and without insurance on the same date.

After pleading guilty to the three offences, Jones, of Little Moss Hey, Stockbridge Village, was fined £120, made to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 in CPS costs.

Jones was also fined £120 for the driving without insurance offence and his record was endorsed with six points.

-A MAN who drove a vehicle without the owner's consent has been given an electronic tag.

Luke Chappell, of Grosvenor Road, Prescot pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle on St Helens Road, Eccleston Park on February 22 while knowing it had been taken without the owner's consent.

Chappell, 29, also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and without a licence,

He was sentenced to a community order and given an eight-week electronic curfew.

Chappell was also made to pay £95 to victim services and £85 in costs to the CPS.

He was disqualified from having a driving licence for 12 months.

- A DRUG driver has been banned from the road for 15 months.

Craig Hoath drove a motor vehicle on Victoria Road, Newton-le-Willows with drugs in his system on July 17, 2020.

Hoath, 29, pleaded to guilty to driving with cocaine and Benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in his blood.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and cocaine.

Hoath, of Higson Avenue, Eccles, Manchester was disqualified from having a driving licence for 15 months.

He was also fined £120 for drug driving given two separate £50 fines for the drugs possession offences.

Hoath was also made to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 in CPS costs, making a total of £339.

- A DRUG driver has been disqualified from the road for more than two years.

Anthony Whitehead drove in Clock Face on October 16 with amphetamine and Benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in his blood.

Whitehead, 48, drove a vehicle on Burnage Avenue with the drugs in his system.

Whitehead, of Stockbridge Street, Anfield, Liverpool was sentenced to a community order with an eight-week electronic curfew.

He was made to pay £95 to victim services and £85 in costs to the CPS.

- A DISQUALIFIED driver who was caught on the road has been given an electronic curfew.

Vialis Curt pleaded guilty to driving a BMW on Parr Stocks Road on March 21 while disqualified from holding a licence.

Curt, 26, also admitted to driving without insurance.

Curt, of Baytree Road, Wigan was given a community order.

He must comply with an electronic curfew for eight weeks and was made to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 in costs to the CPS.

Curt was also given a 24-month disqualification from holding a driving licence.
