TWO men have been arrested after £20,000 of cash, suspected heroin and cocaine were seized by police.

Officers on Hall Lane, Whiston stopped a man riding an electric bike, which he could not prove ownership for, at 5pm on Sunday, April 4.

A search of the man's home address led to the discovery and seizure of more than £20,000 cash, suspected cocaine and heroin, paraphernalia, cars, designer clothing and footwear.

Police say a 20-year-old man and a 58-year-old man, both from Cronton, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and acquire/use/possess criminal property.

They were taken to a police station for questioning.

"Key to these results is often what people within those areas affected tell us, so if you suspect similar where you are, come forward and we will take action."
