RECENTLY I borrowed a mate’s van to take house stuff to the tip.
My mate has a pass that allows 12 trips a year.
On picking the van up I went to the tip only to be told I had to book in online and the next available slot was in two days.
To say I was annoyed wasn’t the word as I am not computer-savvy.
As luck would have it another friend who was behind me got online and got me in at Newton.
I was so frustrated as I had to have the van back for his work.
