A CLINIC bringing together plastic, cosmetic and general surgery practices is set to open its doors this year at its new Millfields site.

La Vita Nuova, which means The New Life in Latin, is a clinical consortium that will offer a range of health and well-being services to the people of St Helens.

Co-owned by Nicola Sung and Kerrie Mitchell, both born and bred in St Helens, the modern clinic, which is based on the First Floor of the development in Eccleston, will bring together a range of clinically led Partnerships and Surgical Services in order to help the people of St Helens and neighbouring towns to gain timely access to a range healthcare services.

Nicky Sung – Managing Director said: “I have worked in and around Healthcare for most of my adult life. I have an NHS management background, so first and foremost I need to state that I have the up most respect for our NHS and the great people that work within it.

"People should always access their NHS GP and local Hospital Provider as a first port of call when they need help, however, it is no secret that the NHS is now struggling to meet patient demand following the pandemic and with this struggle comes a longer waiting list for even the most routine of surgical procedures.

"It is at this point that we would like them to make contact with La Vita Nuova, if we at La Vita Nuova can help to speed up planned surgery for you, to give you a better quality of lifestyle, then we will.

"We care about the people of this town because we have lived here all of our lives. There are somethings, like a person’s health, which just cannot be postponed."

The Consortium will offer the following services: a range of Plastic Surgery services, a range of General Surgery services, Cosmetic Surgery services, Clinically Led Aesthetic Services; Well Woman Clinic Services, Physiotherapy Services.

The clinic, which is opening in two phases due to large scale refurbishments, is due to be fully complete by early June 2021.

However, Phase 1, which will offer Podiatry/ Chiropody and clinically led Aesthetics services, will be open for business as of the April 12.

Kerrie Mitchell – Managing Director added: "I too have worked in healthcare for most of my adult life and having worked in the NHS, I believe the most important person is the 'patient', so offering a 'bespoke' service to patients to meet their individual needs is something I am very passionate about.

"Opening La Vita Nuova makes me feel proud to know that I will be part of an offering that will help the people of St Helens, to gain access to healthcare services that are much harder to come by due to the pandemic."
