HERE are details of five recent cases which were heard before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court:

-A MAN who admitted to an assault on a police officer in St Helens will appear for sentence in May.

Brett Connor, of Firs Lane, Leigh indicated a guilty plea to an assault of an emergency worker on Boxing Day last year in St Helens.

Connor, 28, was remanded on unconditional bail as the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

He will appear back at the court on May 13.

-A MAN has admitted to being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer.

Michael Dunham, of Rivington Road, Windle indicated a guilty plea to assaulting an emergency worker at an address on December 27, 2020.

Dunham, 33, also pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place on Rivington Road on the same date.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and Dunham was given unconditional bail.

He will appear back in court on May 13.

-A MAN who drove with alcohol and cocaine in his system and had the Class A drug in his possession will be sentenced in May.

Darren Harrison, of Tamworth Street, Newtown, St Helens pleaded guilty to four charges.

He admitted to on July 22 last year driving a Vauxhall Insignia while in excess of the alcohol limit.

He also pleaded guilty to driving with cocaine in his system and benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine.

Harrison, 41, also admitted to possession of cocaine on that date.

The case was adjourned until May 13 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Harrison was given an interim driving disqualification until then and was given unconditional bail.

-A DRINK driver was given a fine and banned from the road for a year.

Glynn Davies, of Pennine Drive, Parr pleaded guilty to driving on Smithfield Street, Parr in excess of the alcohol limit on October 28 last year.

Davies, 49, was fined £260, made to pay a £34 surcharge to victim services and £85 in costs to the CPS.

He was disqualified from having a licence for 12 months, to be reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course by October 13 this year.

-A DRUG driver who had cannabis and a knife in his possession will be sentenced later this spring.

Daniel Lucas, of Elephant Lane, Thatto Heath admitted to driving a vehicle on Borough Road, St Helens with cannabis in his system on September 21 last year.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of one bud of cannabis and of a Stanley knife on the same date.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Lucas, 32, was given unconditional bail and an interim driving disqualification and is due back at the court on May 18.
