A COOKIES store has announced "with a heavy heart" that it has closed its St Helens premises.
Millie's Cookies, based at Church Square Shopping Centre, confirmed on social media last night that it will not be reopening.
The shop had launched in St Helens in 2016, creating seven jobs.

Announcing the closure, a post on Millie's Cookies St Helens Facebook page said:
"Hi folks,
"It’s with a very heavy heart that we have to announce that our store will not be re-opening in St Helens but we would like to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and our amazing team for literally everything they have done in the last five years.
"The closest stores will be Liverpool and Warrington.
"We are however working on a way of taking orders on the Facebook page for Giant Cookies orders but want to make sure we get the model right before we move forward with it.
"We will keep you posted on this.
"Again thanks for everything.
"Best wishes, Millie’s Cookies St Helens."
