TWO women who were arrested on suspicion of Class A drug dealing have been released under investigation by police.
Suspected Class A drugs and weapons were seized after police pulled over a car in Sutton on Wednesday afternoon, March 17.
Officers following up on complaints about speeding cars and alleged drug dealing near to Ridgewood Drive stopped the vehicle.
They pulled over the car on Ravenstone Drive, Sutton and searched it using powers under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
A 38 year-old woman from Newton-le-Willows and a 45 year-old woman from St Helens were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Multiple wraps of suspected cocaine and heroin were found by officers.
Searches of a house followed which led to two weapons - a wooden baton and an “adapted ornamental blade” - being recovered.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said both women have both been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
