PLANS which sought permission for a vets practice in an empty building have been approved by the council.
Proposals were drawn up to use a vacant building at Pasture Lane Business Centre, on Pasture Lane, Rainford as a veterinary surgery.
Plans, submitted by applicant John Coppin, also included for an ancillary office/shop.

A design and access statement in the plans said: "The main aim of the project is to provide floor space for use as Veterinary Practice that is expanding with opportunities for added sustainable employment.
"The veterinary service provider requires normal practice hours working Monday to Friday with Saturday and Sunday flexible times".
It added hours of operation would be from 8.30am to 6pm on Mondays to Fridays; 8.30am to midday on Saturdays, with all other hours, including Sundays, for emergency service.
The application was given formal approval by council planning officers.
