POLICE stopped traffic on the M6 near Haydock after a reports a man was walking between live lanes of traffic.
Highways England put a block in place on the motorway northbound between junctions 23 and 24 due to the incident involving a pedestrian on Sunday morning.
North West Motorway Police revealed that the man was found and treated by emergency crews.

Officers said he had suffered "a bang and cut to his head".
He was said to be OK and was given aid by ambulance crews.
Police thanked motorists for remaining patient during the disruption.
